Rock By The Sea produces Fifth Annual Charity Christmas Album
Florida-based charity raises funds for Kids with Cancer

Atlanta, GA. (Oct. 15, 2014) – In the spirit of the season, Rock By The Sea combines goodwill and holiday cheer by producing their fifth annual Christmas record. A Florida-based non-profit, Rock By The Sea produces music events and products in hopes of inspiring fans to raise money for philanthropic causes, specifically in support of pediatric cancer research and treatment. Over the past eight years, Rock By The Sea has donated almost $350,000 to the cause. With the release of their new holiday CD, the organization hopes to contribute even more.

“A Rock By The Sea Christmas :: Volume Five is full of generosity from some of our favorite artists,” says Beth Gosnell, the charity’s President. “We are so grateful for the contributions of these artists and thrilled to be able to present them to you for this Christmas.”

This year’s album includes a range of artists such as NBC’s “The Voice” finalist, Tony Lucca, American Music Award Winners, Carbon Leaf, Georgia Country’s Teen Artist of the Year, Jordan Grassi, The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival’s “Most Wanted Emerging Artist”, Eliot Bronson, and newcomers, The Georgia Flood, among others. A Rock By The Sea Christmas :: Volume Five includes a mixture of traditional Christmas favorites, as well as original holiday songs unique to the record. Among the beneficiaries is Camp Sunshine, an Atlanta, Ga-based foundation that provides support for children with cancer and their families through recreational and educational programs.

“It’s an absolute treat to be included alongside these great artists in supporting Rock By The Sea’s efforts to raise money and awareness for some of the most deserving charities at work today,” says Tony Lucca. “The added Holiday element of this compilation makes it all the more emotional for me, personally.”

A Rock By The Sea Christmas :: Volume Five is available now through the charity’s website at www.RockByTheSea.org as well as digital music stores including iTunes, Amazon.com and Google Play.

About Rock By The Sea

An exclusive stream of the album is available pre-release on the Acoustic Guitar Magazine, site while PopMatters debuted a live, acoustic video of the”rollicking eye opener” (Guitar World) “Comin’ For Ya (North Georgia Blues).

“Writing in PopMatters, Brice Ezell calls Bronson “one of the key up-and-coming songwriters in the Americana scene.”

Eliot Bronson is now available for pre-order with an instant download of the track “New Pain” that was recently featured in Paste Magazine. A limited edition vinyl pre-order and CD preorder are available from the Saturn 5 Store.

“It was quite a pleasure workin’ with Eliot,” says Cobb. “He’s a brilliant lyricist and poet. We did the record live all together and the album feels timeless.”

Recently, Paste Magazine premiered the single “New Pain” and said the song has “an organic feel, with lulling vocals and guitar” while Guitar World Acoustic Nationfeatured the “rollicking eye opener” of a single “Comin’ For Ya North Georgia Blues.”

Eliot Bronson Shares “New Pain” with Paste Magazine

Named Best Songwriter in Creative Loafing’s
“Best of Atlanta 2014”

New Tour Dates include Philadelphia, Baltimore, and More!

On October 21st, the Atlanta-based songwriter Eliot Bronson will release a self-titled album (and third solo recording), via Saturn 5 Records. Yesterday, Paste Magazine premiered the single “New Pain” and said the song has “an organic feel, with lulling vocals and guitar.” This is the second preview track to be released from the album, following the release of the “rollicking eye opener” “Comin’ For Ya North Georgia Blues” that premiered with Guitar World Acoustic Nation.

Eliot Bronson is now available for pre-order with an instant download of “New Pain.” A limited edition vinyl pre-order and CD pre-order are available from the Saturn 5 Store.

Last week, Bronson was named Best Songwriter in Creative Loafing’s “Best of Atlanta 2014” who said, “bluesy harmonies and a dark sense of humor create powerfully evocative folk songs.”

For his upcoming album, Bronson enlisted the help of producer Dave Cobb, who recently won producer credit for Jason Isbell’s Album of the Year award at the Americana Music Awards. Cobb has also helmed recent releases by Sturgill Simpson, Rival Sons, and Nikki Lane.
“I was stunned when I got a response. It was really validating for me because I sort of had him on a pedestal,” says Bronson about the cold email he sent to Cobb to produce the record.

“It was quite a pleasure workin’ with Eliot,” says Cobb. “He’s a brilliant lyricist and poet. We did the record live all together and the album feels timeless.”

The record is something of a homecoming for Bronson, who was raised in a Pentecostal home by a family for which music was prayer and life was expressed and enjoyed in song. At an early age, Bronson discovered his parents’ folk collection of 1960s artists. These two became formative musical influences shaping Bronson’s purposeful, pensive, and poetic songwriting.

“I spent a long time trying to get away from where I came from but it never really felt right,” says Bronson. “This is the music I’ve always had in me.”
